About PingMeter
A free, fast, and private internet speed test — no signups, no apps, no nonsense.
What Is PingMeter?
PingMeter is a browser-based internet speed test that measures your download speed, upload speed, ping (latency), and jitter in under 15 seconds. It works on any device — phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop — without requiring any software installation.
Why We Built It
Most speed test tools are cluttered with ads, require app downloads, or track your data aggressively. We wanted to build something different: a clean, fast, privacy-respecting speed test that gives you accurate results without the bloat.
PingMeter is built on Cloudflare's global edge network, which operates in 300+ cities worldwide. This means your test runs against a server physically close to you, giving you results that accurately reflect your real-world internet experience.
Why Is It Free?
PingMeter is free to use and always will be. We cover our costs through non-intrusive advertising. We don't sell your data, we don't require accounts, and we don't track your browsing history. Your speed test results are processed in your browser and never stored on our servers.
How Is This Different From Other Speed Tests?
- No app required: Works entirely in your browser
- No signup: No email, no account, no tracking
- Fast testing: Complete in under 15 seconds
- Global servers: Powered by Cloudflare's edge network
- Privacy-first: We don't log your IP or results
- Mobile-optimized: Designed for phones first
Who Is This For?
Anyone who wants to know their real internet speed. Gamers checking their ping. Streamers verifying their upload. Remote workers ensuring their video calls will be stable. Or anyone whose internet feels slow and wants proof before calling their ISP.
